From family business to international specialist Duikwerken Pellegrims was founded in 1974 by Rik Pellegrims, whose craftsmanship and drive laid the foundation for what would become a leading player in professional diving and underwater works. What started as an ambitious family business in Rijmenam evolved—under the leadership of his sons, Kurt and Tom Pellegrims—into an established company with an impressive international reputation. As the second generation, Kurt and Tom continued to build the business over decades, with a focus on quality, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Their dedication and entrepreneurship made Duikwerken Pellegrims a reference name for complex, high-tech underwater projects worldwide.

A new chapter
In February 2026, Duikwerken Pellegrims entered a new phase. Entrepreneur Cis Vercouteren acquired the company from Kurt and Tom Pellegrims, with the ambition to further strengthen its market position and drive sustainable growth. Kurt and Tom remain involved to support a smooth handover and continuity of knowledge, so the company’s DNA—its values of quality, safety, and craftsmanship—remains fully intact.
